Karie's Message

I decided that I wanted to become a physical therapist when I was in the 7th grade. I just knew I wanted to help people and thought physical therapy would be a rewarding career.
After completing 4 years of college at Lock Haven University, followed by 3 years of PT school at Shenandoah University, I was finally ready to use my newfound knowledge and hone my skills. Unfortunately, my vision of being able to help people began to fade as I witnessed first-hand the busy clinics where therapists are forced to juggle four patients at a time while their patients end up working with aides who oftentimes have no formal education. It just did not seem right. I knew that I could do better.
When the time came to open my own practice, I decided that I would do so in a way that allowed me to use my skills while still affording the patient quality time with me so that we would be able to make a personal connection. For this reason, Body Elite Physical Therapy only schedules one patient per hour. Moreover, that entire hour is spent one-on-one with a licensed therapist.
My vision for Body Elite Physical Therapy is for it to be a warm, comfortable, and healing place-- somewhere that our patients look forward to visiting. We promise to do our best to give you the quality, therapeutic health care that you deserve.
